SandiMat Movement Mat & Tape
Sandimat is a technologically advanced decoupling mat, designed to prevent the failure of tiled floors, caused by movement in solid floors, including heated anhydrite screeds.
With its high tensile strength, Sandimat allows for lateral movement in the substrate, whilst protecting the tiled floor above.
There is 15m2 on a roll but can be ordered by the square metre.
Comes with a roll of joint sealing tape.

No, this is not an installation application that we would recomend
No, sandimat is not waterproof as it is breathable which means it can be put onto wet screeds a lot sooner than waterproof mattings can be
We would always recomment the Sandimat onto an anhydrite screed due to its breathability and suitability to it.
The Sandimat should be laid writing side up
A high quality, flexible tile adhesive shouldbe used to fix the matting, minimum S1 an dpreferably an S2 adhesive
Absolutely NO movement mattings can eradicate bounce in a floor due to their flexible structure. To remove bounce/deflection please see the 6mm Preprimed NoMorePly system used to overboard timber floors.
