On the morning of February 24th, 2022, suddenly and horrendously, the unimaginable became a stark reality!

Missiles and air strikes slammed indiscriminately into Ukraine as a precursor to Russian troops swarming over the border at multiple locations.

A conflict that had been simmering since 2014 had suddenly escalated in a dramatic and horrifying fashion, and a nightmare of huge proportions was just beginning for the Ukrainian people.

In the weeks and months that have followed the world has been transfixed by the images and reports coming out of the war zone depicting the dreadful suffering and utter devastation being wreaked on the people and infrastructure of this brave but bloodied land.

Millions of persons have been displaced and millions more have fled the country in what has developed into the largest refugee crisis seen by Europe since World War II.

Private dwellings, children’s hospitals, shopping malls, schools, and train stations. It seems no target is off-limits to those aiming their missiles of destruction at beleaguered Ukraine.

Heinous war crimes and atrocities are visited upon the oppressed population on a daily basis.

There is not a shred of justification for any of these monstrous barbarities being promulgated on innocent people, with gut-wrenching images of the misery and affliction of women and children enough to melt the coldest heart.

The response to this awful tyranny from the watching world has rightly been one of revulsion and repugnance.

Leaders from free nations across the globe have united in condemnation of such wanton brutality and continue to work together to find the best way of helping Ukraine and its indomitable inhabitants not only resist but also shake off the shackles of this totally ruthless and utterly cruel attempt at subjugation!

And charitable organizations from all corners of the earth have swung into action to deliver desperately needed aid and support to innocent people currently experiencing torment and distress the likes of which have not been seen on this continent for over 75 years!

The team at STS, along with doubtless millions of other outraged and appalled onlookers, have resolved to take tangible action in support of the benevolent and humanitarian endeavours currently hard at it where the deprivation and desecration are at their nadir.
