Supply Chain Challenge – Red Sea Regional Conflict

Dear Valued Customer,

I trust this letter finds you well.

As you may be aware, there has been a recent increase in attacks on commercial shipping vessels travelling through the Red Sea.  These attacks have disrupted global supply chain and caused significant delays in the delivery of goods. Shipping companies have already responded by rerouting their vessels around the Cape of Good Hope, rather than risking the usual Red Sea route. This has added thousands of miles to journeys, increasing costs and resulting in delays.

The team at STS have been monitoring the situation closely and using our learnings gleaned from the Covid Pandemic, we know that having stock on the ground and maintaining our Gold Standard Customer Experience is absolutely our priority.

We have already implemented our contingency plans ensuring business continuity which includes opening alternative supply routes and increasing stock levels but we must stress that we are not immune to the challenges and there are so many factors beyond our control.

Data received on our inbound stock orders suggests we are going to experience steep cost increases and as a result of this, we do foresee a necessary price increase in the coming months.  As it stands, we see this increase as a temporary increase but necessary and you will appreciate the fact we cannot put a timescale on this, given the situation.

Timely updates will be provided through our official channels, and your satisfaction and peace of mind remain crucial to us and if you do have any questions, please reach out to our Customer Support Hub at sales@sts-uk.com or 0113 202 2010.

Thank you again for your support.

Yours Sincerely,
